I recently rediscovered these collages I made almost two years ago (!) of the precious headwear line, Littledoe is Love. The designer is Chase Cohl, who I've been girl-crushing on ever since I saw her precious flat on The Selby; she creates these gorgeously luxe one-of-a-kind headdresses that have been seen on the likes of style goddesses Erin Wasson and Theodora Richards.

Concentrating on hippie staples like feathers, flowers, beads and precious stones, Chase creates romantic bohemian styles fit for a flower children and fashion models alike. Of course, since each headpiece is custom-made it comes with a pricetag of $250-$400 - but its worth it for such incredible craftsmanship. I'm thinking about getting one for a beachy wedding ceremony I'm attending at the end of the summer because, well, honestly I'm dying for an excuse to get one!

If actually rocking this hippie look is not in your cards (or wallet), I advise you take a few moments to just check out the Littledoe site for inspiration from Chase's lookbooks. The lookbooks are full of polaroid-style photos of gorgeous rich-hippie girls running around the woods and open fields in great floaty dresses paired with heavy furs, topping off their impossibly long luscious locks with exquisite headgear, in true boho-babe fashion. The Littledoe line is full of great D.I.Y.-ideas, and I am feeling inspired to create a little 'love' of my own!

I'm going through bit of a Doctor Zhivago stage - all I want to do is wear ridiculously delicious-looking (faux) fur cossack hats. I blame the blistering winters of upstate New York. I'm not advocating or even condoning the wearing of fur - in this day and age, with so many other fantastic-looking alternatives are out there, I don't understand why you'd want to buy the real thing - but it surely is a fantastic look, isn't it? Websites like ASOS have excellent faux versions of the look, so now all of us (even the veggie-eaters!) can look like we're living la vida Zhivago

Dress Like a Cupcake Should Feel

I love this mantra, created by UK illustrator Hennie Haworth. When I think of dressing like a cupcake, I think of dressing like I was six years old again, pretending I was Eloise at the Plaza or Grace Kelly on the French Riviera. Flirty dresses with full skirts in shades of pink, lavender, yellow, and cream - made even better by layers of crinoline underneath. Hair that looks like frosting, decorated with pink streaks, glitter, feathers, or bows. Lace, silk, satin, and sparkle! The look should be romantic and innocent. The idea should be to live inside of a 1950s movie, I personally have always wanted to live in an Audrey Hepburn movie. For Audrey, the answer is always to go to Paris and reinvent herself. Or to buy a new Givenchy dress.

Never say no to champagne before breakfast, chocolate-covered strawberries for lunch, or macaroons for dinner, and always keep room for dessert. Wear shoes because they look delicious with frilly ankle socks; not just high heels, but sparkly oxfords and pink marabou mules. Sit in front of a vanity mirror for hours and primp while listening to your best girl friends Eartha Kitt, Julie London, and Peggy Lee on vinyl. Buy perfume with bottles or names that excite you. Names that come to mind are Lolita Lempicka, Pink Sugar (how delish does that sound?), Dolly Girl, Princess, Blush, Daisy, Maybe Baby.
